Have Faith; There is Hope.

All around the world, disasters are happening. People are losing loved ones, their homes, and seeing their lands being shaken, flooded, and torn apart. In the midst of all this though, the saddest thing being lost is faith. Faith that God cares and that He loves. Faith that He is in control. Faith that it’s all going to work out at the end. And with this lost of faith, comes a lost of hope. Hope for a better tomorrow.

I can’t imagine how and what all those in the Dominica Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and all those being impacted by the hurricanes, earthquakes, and wildfires are feeling and going through. I can’t put myself in their places, but my heart aches for everyone being impacted. It saddens me that I can’t physically help or somehow make it all stop. And like many of you I sometimes find myself asking God, “Why?”,  but then He reminds me that I know why. His Word has told me why and has warned us all. The question that I should be asking Him is “What?” What should I be doing? What should we be doing? The answer is Pray. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have. It’s power transcends physical bounds and descends from the heavens transforming lives.

Pray for their hearts and souls more than anything, because the thing that most of us seem to forget while living on this earth so many of us believe will be here forever is that it’s not going to be here forever. Our lives here on earth are temporary, but our spiritual lives whether in Heaven or Hell are forever. So many people are dying without knowing Christ and that saddens me most of all, and it saddens Christ as well. He died for all of us. What saddens Christ the most is that so many believers aren’t doing their part as Ambassadors of Him.

So many of us who do believe are so caught up in our own lives, the latest trends, what we have going on that we’ve become blind to the fact that there’s a whole other world around us. A world much more real than the fantasy ones we live in. A world full of people hurting who are in need of love, of someone just taking the time to care and reach out to them. A world full of lost souls in need of and hoping for a Savior even if they aren’t willing to admit it. We are the light that will shine and bring to light the hope they so desperately need, that there is a Savior and that there will be a better tomorrow. We are the hearts that will shower them with the love they are longing for because Love lives in us.

If you’re reading this and have been affected by everything going on or if you’re in a dark place where there seems to be no hope, know that God loves you. He cares, He sees your pain, and He’s got you. In the end, it’s all going to work out. I believe this enough for the both of us and I’m praying over every single one of you.  (If you need someone to talk to please feel free to text or call me at 480-577-2320 or email me at heartfullwhispers@gmail.com) I know that these words are probably not enough to mend your broken heart or to make everything okay, but I do know that prayer is powerful and I pray that the fact that there is a God who loves you so much, that you are not alone brings you comfort and peace. Have faith; there is hope.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
